Resumen
Introduction. monitor preventive measures for dengue in the families of the citadel Jaime Roldós, La Troncal.Objective. determine the type of use of containers that accumulate water. Materials and methods. The quantitative study, with the application of an instrument of technical health standards for the implementation of the surveillance and control of aedes aegypti, vector of dengue in the territory. Results 87.5% of the families maintain the larvicide in the intradomiciliary containers, and 50% of the peridomiciliary recipients have the larvicide, Conclusion. Preventive measures to prevent dengue will reduce the morbidity and mortality of dengue in the territory.
